CONSTANT DIMENSIONAL CONTROL is a company founded in 2012 by Jacek Śmierzchalski and Andrzej Kiczorowski, surveyors and quality control specialists. They gained their experience working in companies on all continents.
The team consists of young, talented engineers, specialists in engineering measurements. We believe that people are the most important at work, therefore we attach great importance to ensuring friendly and safe working conditions for everyone.
Our overriding goal is full customer satisfaction with the course of cooperation, which we guarantee through timeliness, flexibility and high precision of work. If something is impossible, for us it only takes a little more time
In 2021, we carried out the order to scan the Ciudad De Mahon ferry in Spain, which included, among others, the engine room, decks and other elements – a total of 70% of the ship. The order included the creation of a point cloud and a model for later editing for the client.
We spent several months working on the construction of the Royal IHC Ramp. We determined the verticality of the structure, design deviations, flatness of the guides, we marked the places of holes for machining. The structure serves as an element enabling cables to be unwound along the seabed.
We handled hundreds of piping projects that included thousands of individual pipes. We determine the geometry of the pipe, tilts and rotations of the flanges and the position of other elements (e.g. supports). In the photo 20 “pipe, designed and assembled according to the NORSOK standard.
In the central part of the ship, a lift column has been installed with a platform serving as a gangway. The ship was widened to ensure adequate stability. While adding the next parts of the deck, we systematically checked their flatness and height. On the newly created sponsons, we traced the marks and the line of immersion. In addition, we have performed smaller works, such as GYRO calibration, assembly of cargoraills, assembly of dolphins, foundations, etc.
In 2012, our surveyors took part in the reconstruction of the FPF-1 drilling platform, established in 1977 in Japan. The platform is approximately 30 meters high, 75 meters wide and 82 meters long. In Gdańsk Remontowa Shipyard S.A. the unit was undergoing a major reconstruction for a floating refinery. As part of the order, it was necessary to measure and set up all devices, construction elements, pipelines, and ongoing control of dimensions.
The dredger is able to cut rock into the seabed. During the completion of the construction of the dredger, our team dealt with setting up the equipment on the ship, checking the location of the ship’s legs and determining the position of the navigation lights. We also fitted foundations with a thickness of 100 mm.
The vessel is a container ship that has undergone renovation works. We performed 3D scanning of all cargo holds of the ship, checking the position of the guides in order to be able to identify irregularities in their shape. After installing new rails in place of the damaged rails, we checked their verticality. We also performed smaller works, e.g. marking out container sockets.
Many times we have cooperated with the largest companies in the shipbuilding and oil industry. Distance doesn’t matter to us. We are distinguished by an individual approach to each job entrusted to us, which allows us to adapt to the most difficult conditions.
We have cooperated, among others, with companies such as: Gdańska Stocznia Remontowa, Pipecon, Lotos Petrobaltic, Nymo, EuroWeld and Emmco.
